Over the past three seasons, Saint Joseph's College of Maine has established itself as one of New England's premier Division 3 programs.
The Monks, under the guidance of head coach Adrian DuBois (Acworth, N.H.), have won three straight GNAC crowns, advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament each time. The program hasn't fully caught up to the region's historic ones – Tufts, Amherst, Brandeis and others hold that label – but is sure knocking on the door.
To keep the good times rolling, some new leadership will be required. In late January it was announced that DuBois left to become an assistant coach at Division 1 program Vermont, while longtime assistant coach Will Pike took over lead duties in Standish, Maine.
How, if at all, might Saint Joseph's look different in 2019? Pike, in an interview with New England Soccer Journal, said the culture remains.
