FOXBORO, Mass. – For most of Andrew Farrell's seven seasons with the New England Revolution, he's switched back and forth between center back and right back.
That outside-inside proposition should come to a close in 2020, as head coach/sporting direction Bruce Arena and his staff told Farrell that they expect him to play centrally when his eighth season gets underway.
The University of Louisville product grew into that role in 2019, and even earned Revolution Defensive Player of the Year honors for the second straight season, all after missing the first four games with a freak preseason eye injury.
