NEPSAC semis: What to watch for across Class A, Class B

After 16 quarterfinal games on Wednesday across New England, the semifinals are set in the four NEPSAC tournaments.

The No. 1 seeds advanced in Class A, B and D, while No. 1 side St. Thomas More is out in Class D thanks to an inspired win from Pingree on the road. In fact, the higher seed advanced in 13 of the 16 games (over 80 percent of the time), reinforcing how important home-field advantage and seeding can be in the postseason.

Ahead of semifinal action on Saturday, here's all you need to know in the various matchups in Class A and Class B. As a reminder, there's a quick turnaround to the finals on Sunday at Loomis Chaffee, as most teams will have less than 24 hours of rest to prepare for a championship match.
