One play can’t showcase all the attributes Nadia Cassamajor brings to the soccer field, but one recent play showed off a few of them.
Thayer Academy was in the process of closing out a Sept. 30 game against a good Dexter Southfield team it knew it needed to beat. Coming on the heels of the team’s first setback -- against Milton Academy -- and on the road in front of a large crowd on a Friday night, the Tigers couldn’t afford to stumble again.
Cassamajor, a junior winger who’d already scored once in the game, won a ball in the attacking third, showing off her athleticism and strength. She used her excellent vision to spot senior Shea O’Neill heading toward the goal, and her skill to cross a perfect pass that was finished off for a goal.
