It’s no secret that upperclassmen typically gain the most notoriety in New England boys prep soccer.
Post grads, seniors and juniors are often a little bigger, stronger, and, most importantly, more experienced than their younger teammates. Still, in each season there are numerous underclassmen who find their way onto fields throughout the region and provide important contributions.
Those contributions were especially impressive in the 2021 season, because of the fact that there was no 2020 NEPSAC season, due to COVID-19.
In that spirit, here are five New England boys prep underclassmen (freshmen or sophomores) who delivered a breakthrough season in 2021.
