Every year in August, the Northfield Mount Hermon boys soccer team heads to Camp Pemigewassett in New Hampshire for preseason team-building exercises, including a hike in the White Mountains.
It’s a great opportunity for the new players to be welcomed into the program and start the process of forming a chemistry with the NMH veterans.
Last Thursday, potential new NMH students and soccer players were notified that they have been accepted to the school for the 2022-23 academic year. A bunch of those new players will arrive at the school’s campus on April 3. Although the Hoggers’ incoming class is not totally finalized, head coach Charlie Malcolm is excited for the future.
"We’ve got a great list. Some kids are committed, some kids are in the process of visiting schools," said Malcolm. "It’s an interesting time here, because you think you might have a kid coming, but he’s going to do one last visit and you just hope everything goes well."
