The upcoming U.S. U-16 women’s national team virtual camp will involve three NEFC players from the club’s U-15 Girls Academy League team.
The 2006 birth-year trio includes goalkeeper Anna Shamgochian (East Providence, R.I.) and midfielders Kendall Bodak (Monson, Mass.) and Meghan Deneen (Marlboro, Mass.), continuing NEFC's track record of developing USYNT-level players.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic is preventing in-person training camps, it’ll be interesting to see if these NEFC standouts earn further invites. The day-to-day training environment, and then game-day tests, will define that trajectory.
