With some Division I programs already competing again, the excitement around college soccer's return continues to build.
Up next in our watch list series is NEFC's D-I contingent, one that reflects the club's track record and status as one of the top clubs in Massachusetts. Nowadays, NEFC's top boys teams compete in MLS NEXT (younger) and the Boys ECNL (older), creating a pathway that should keep developing high-impact players.
The below 10 players represent the top tier, with several entrenched as on- and off-field leaders for their D-I programs.
Before getting underway, a reminder that Ivy League teams aren't competing this spring. That leaves Harvard sophomore forward Duncan Sutherland (Millville, Mass.) out, though he has a really bright future with the Crimson.
