NEP Boys: All-American midfielder Nathaniel Cardoza bound for UMass

The praise comes fast and heavy for Nathaniel Cardoza, an All-American and All-New England midfielder bound for UMass.

At first, the plaudits come from Bryan Harkin, Cardoza’s coach on his GPS Massachusetts 2000 NPL team.

"He raises his game in the ones that matter the most," said Harkin, who also is the head men’s coach at Emerson, a Division 3 school. "He’s someone we can rely on when we need to. When it’s a tight game, we know we can count on him. He’s a quiet leader."
