The inaugural MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs and Showcase begin Friday in the Greater Dallas area, with teams across the U-15, U-16, U-17 and U-19 age groups vying for the very first MLS Cup titles.
The MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs follow a single-elimination format and bring together the top 32 teams in each age group, with qualification based on performance in the regular season.
Ten teams from New England have qualified for the Playoffs, and the Revolution Academy leads the way with three representatives. Beachside SC, the Boston Bolts and Oakwood SC each have two teams in the Playoffs, while Seacoast United has one.
Broken down by age group, here’s what awaits local clubs as they chase silverware. Simultaneously, the Showcase portion offers another year-end platform and scouting opportunity.
