Milton Academy guided by “buy-in” during Independent School League rise

When head coach Chris Kane discusses Milton Academy and what’s guided their success, he harps on buy-in.

That cultural thread has powered the defending Independent School League champions, even without games being played this fall. The Mustangs also won the 2015 NEPSAC Class A title and lost in penalty kicks against Worcester Academy at the same stage last year.

“The soccer part's the fun part, but I think what you really want is for people to be bought in,” Kane told New England Soccer Journal. “ … We've been lucky to have talent, but what are we doing with that and how do we grow as a group?
