Three players with regional ties will join the U.S. men’s national team’s January 2021 camp, starting a busy calendar year for head coach Gregg Berhalter’s team that includes qualifying for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and next summer’s Olympic Games in Japan.
The camp, which has senior-team and U-23 components, will be held in Bradenton, Fla., and includes a USMNT game against a to-be-named opponent that’ll feature several U-23s being elevated to the full roster.
“This is an important year for our national Team programs, and we are looking to maximize every possible opportunity,” Berhalter said before players gather Jan. 9.
