Kristen McCrea looks to end WPI, NEWMAC career with a bang

American author and historian of science James Gleick once wrote, “We go back and forth between being time’s master and its victim. Time is ours to use, and then we are at its mercy.”

It didn’t take much time for Worcester Polytechnic Institute women’s soccer head coach Stephanie Riley-Schafer to know Kristen McCrea (Weymouth, Mass.) would be a perfect fit for her program, and the decision was an equally quick one for McCrea.

It didn’t take much time for McCrea to make her impact felt at WPI. After winning the NEWMAC tournament MVP as a freshman, she also thought she’d have more time to return to the tournament and add more championships to her soccer resume.
