Justin Rennicks signs Homegrown Player deal with New England Revolution

After an at-times-fraught relationship, Justin Rennicks has signed a Homegrown Player deal with the New England Revolution, his boyhood club.

The move was officially announced on Friday after Ives Galarcep first reported it late Wednesday night. Rennicks, a South Hamilton, Mass., native, recently completed his sophomore year at Indiana University, where he earned Second-Team All-Big Ten honors.

Rennicks has also featured extensively for the U.S. U-20 national team, most recently helping them win Concacaf qualifying to reach the FIFA U-20 World Cup, held this May and June in Poland.

"I'm excited to move on to the professional level and happy that my first contract is with my hometown team," Rennicks said in a team release. "I am grateful for the opportunity Todd Yeagley and Indiana gave me the last two seasons, and I know it has prepared me best for this next step...
