On Wednesday, all 16 boys soccer programs in the NEPSAC’s Independent School League headed to Progin Park in Lancaster, Mass. for the ISL Jamboree.

It was a showcase event that featured eight matches at the beautiful, sprawling complex, and attracted the attention of several college coaches. Many of the games were highly competitive.

Belmont Hill defeated Groton, 4-3. Tabor Academy and Middlesex played to a 1-1 draw. Brooks beat St. Mark’s, 7-1. Buckingham, Browne & Nichols blanked Nobles, 4-0. St. George’s defeated Governor’s Academy, 1-0.  Rivers beat St. Sebastian’s, 3-0. Milton Academy defeated Thayer Academy, 2-0. And, finally, Roxbury Latin beat Lawrence Academy, 2-1.

Here are five takeaways from the day’s action.
