As the new year begins, a fair number of Class of 2022 players around New England are expected to start announcing verbal commitments.

The recruiting dead periods in Division I and the NESCAC provide obstacles, of course, but this space still has plenty of buzz.

That dynamic especially applies to the Independent School League, which boasts a deep and talented collection of players. Brooks junior Christian Bejar (Lawrence, Mass. ) is already positioned to join Boston College, while others should soon join him.

Aside from the below 10 players, several other ISL Class of 2022 standouts are also included. As always, college commitment updates can be emailed to commits@nesoccerjournal.com with the following: name, hometown, position, college, high school/club team.

Tags: Brooks, Buckingham Browne & Nichols, ISL, Lawrence Academy, Middlesex, Milton Academy, NEPSAC, Nobles, Rivers, Roxbury Latin, St. Mark's, Thayer Academy
