A versatile player by nature, Avery Snead (Wrentham, Mass.) spent her elder years of youth soccer mainly deployed at forward or in midfield.
Snead found success, too, earning All-New England honors for her contributions at King Philip Regional (Mass.) High School, shining alongside now-Hartford freshman forward Chloe Layne (Wrentham, Mass.). The same applied to her Scorpions SC days, when she earned ECNL All-Northeast Conference honors.
But through necessity, Snead has featured at center back for Providence College early on – and it’s paying off.
