Comparatively speaking, the COVID-19 pandemic hasn’t hit Vermont as hard as other states in New England. Nationally, boasting the fifth-fewest reported cases (919) and eighth-fewest associated deaths (53) reflects exactly that.
But it’s certainly not a normal spring for the 8,000 players and 55 member organizations that fall under the Vermont Soccer Association umbrella, according to executive director Meg Munson.
The youth game is on pause in the the Green Mountain State, and Munson said it’s too premature to pencil in a return date for VSA-sanctioned soccer.
