As New England Soccer Journal touched base with six coaches from across the region, all agreed that the COVID-19 pandemic will reshape a season that usually begins during the second week of September. The exact outcome remains to be seen, though worries linger after the Ivy League and NESCAC canceled their seasons entirely last week.
Berkshire boys head coach Charlie Bour expressed that it’s an ever-evolving situation, as schools prioritize welcoming students back to campus. Safe learning environments, dormitory setups that mitigate the virus’ spread and the availability of international students are other major concerns.
