The Revolution Academy has new leadership, with Rob Becerra announced Tuesday as the club’s director of youth development.
Becerra arrives in New England with a wealth of coaching experience, working extensively with Revolution technical director Curt Onalfo (Ridgefield, Conn.) when they both were with the LA Galaxy organization, helping 11 LA Galaxy II players earn promotion to the first team.
Now, Becerra is charged with overseeing the Revolution Academy and directing the coaching curriculum, player development and player identification across all four age groups. It’s a comprehensive role, one that he’s eager to tackle while working alongside familiar faces.
