After three goal-filled seasons in Sweden’s lower divisions, Hayley Dowd (Peabody, Mass.) will look to prove herself at top-flight outfit Djurgardens IF this spring.

They get underway this weekend with Svenska Cupen games, then will enter Damallsvenskan matches in mid-April.

The former Boston College and FC Stars forward counts center back Rachel Bloznalis (Upton, Mass.), a former Boston University and NEFC standout, among her teammates. The Stockholm-based side plays home matches at the city’s Olympic Stadium.
