Hartford City FC will be playing for a championship this weekend.

The Colts of the National Premier Soccer League’s Northeast Region edged visiting Valeo FC, 1-0, in a North Atlantic Conference semifinal round match on a warm, wet Wednesday evening at Dillon Stadium.

“It was a game where both teams tried to find their footing,” said Hartford City head coach Nick Balistierri the day after the contest. “We had some early nerves. Valeo had some good chances, and we got a great save by Jamis Fite to deny an early chance.”
