UMass Lowell freshman forward Ioanna Papatheodorou made an instant impact for the River Hawks last fall.

The native of Greece led the team with 10 goals and 20 points, and helped UML to a final record of 8-6-3 in the 2021 season. For her efforts, she earned America East Rookie of the Year and Striker of the Year honors.
