Born in Hartford, Conn., Ryan Spaulding is back in New England and playing as a defender for the New England Revolution.

He grew up in Cary, N.C. and attended UNC-Charlotte before making his professional debut with Stade Briochin in the Championnat National 2 of the French fourth division.

The 23-year-old Spaulding then developed with Revolution II after signing with them in January of 2020. Earlier this year, he signed a one-year MLS contract with the Revs, with additional club options. He has appeared in two MLS games this season with the Revolution.

We recently caught up with Spaulding to discuss how MLS life is going with the Revs.
