For soccer purists such as Trinity College men’s coach Mike Pilger, the beautiful game is best played on a grass field.
His players benefit from that belief, as well as the generosity of Trinity College alums. At the end of 2016, Trinity built new outdoor athletic fields thanks in large part to alumni donations.
Trinity Soccer Field is a natural-grass soccer field that Pilger (Boston University) believes is one of the best grass surfaces in New England. Many of his Division 3 colleagues would agree, with coaches around the region highlighting its quality to New England Soccer Journal.
