As the club soccer season prepares to hit second gear, our survey of the Elite Clubs National League landscape across New England continues.
This story takes stock of the region's five U-17 teams, which are comprised of mostly 2002-born players. Included within are standouts, commit updates and those to watch for as games get underway.
For each team, focus turns to ECNL Florida, a national showcase event for the U16-U18/U19 age groups held Jan. 11-13 in Sanford, Fla. This follows ECNL South Carolina, held just after Thanksgiving as the first national event for the older ECNL age groups.
Northeast Conference play doesn't begin in earnest until March, so there's plenty of progress to be made.
