The 2019-20 Gatorade State Players of the Year for boys soccer were announced Monday, and plenty of familiar faces received the distinguished honor across New England.
Two come from NEPSAC programs, while the other four are public-school players. Five are committed to Division I programs – two are staying local for college soccer – and one player repeated after winning in 2018-19.
The awards, handed out annually, recognize not only athletic excellence, but also high standards of academic achievement and exemplary character that's demonstrated on and off the field.
