The MIAA boys and girls state championship soccer games were held on Saturday at different venues across Massachusetts. It was an eventful day, as a total of 10 state champs were crowned in Division 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 in both boys and girls soccer. In Division 1 boys, St. John's Prep defeated Needham, 2-0, while in Division 1 girls, Hingham defeated Algonquin, 1-0. In Division 2 boys, Oliver Ames beat Hopkinton, 3-2, while in Division 2 girls, Silver Lake beat Oliver Ames, 1-0. In Division 3 boys, Newburyport beat Dedham, 1-0, while in Division 3 girls, Hanover beat Dedham, 1-0. In Division 4 boys, South Hadley topped Blackstone Valley, 5-2, while in Division 4 girls, Cohasset beat Northbridge, 2-0. In Division 5 boys, Bromfield bested Sutton, 3-0, while in Division 5 girls, Sutton defeated Monson, 3-2. Here is a look at scenes from some of the MIAA finals.
