Lauded for his versatility and technical prowess, FSA FC’s Mitchell Lyons has thrived playing alongside and against top-notch competition, flashing an innate ability to handle traffic with ease thanks to an ever-churning hunger for the game.
“He’s a soccer rat, and I mean that in the most positive sense,” said John Amorim, his coach on the FSA FC 2000-01 ECNL club. “If there’s a game, he shows up.”
It is something that Lyons has been doing since he arrived at FSA at the age of 14, and something Amorim has seen since his U-13 days when he began playing as part of the U.S. Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program.
