The upcoming U.S. U-16 women’s national team virtual camp includes three FC Stars players who hail from three different New England states.

Sophia Recupero (Hopkinton, Mass.) and Alexandra Taylor (Woodstock, Conn.), forwards from the club’s U-16 Blue ECNL team, both earned an invitation, as did U-15 Blue ECNL goalkeeper Ellis Piper (Cape Elizabeth, Maine).

These virtual camps are a stopgap solution during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, as it’s logistically challenging to gather high-schoolers from across the country for an in-person camp.
