Minutes after Lydia LeBlanc (Winchendon, Mass.) stepped off the plane on Thursday, departed the airport and walked into the sunny, 75-degree Florida weather, it was clear that the experience that she was about to embark upon over the next week was still a bit of a pinch-me moment for her.

The Class of 2023 FC Stars Blue midfielder and junior at Gardner (Mass.) High School was called into the U.S. Under-17 Women’s Youth National Team training camp at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. The camp, which began yesterday and will run until Feb. 17, begins the squad's preparation for the 2022 Concacaf U-17 Women’s Championship.

This is the first time LeBlanc, a 5-foot-2 defensive central midfielder, has been called into a YNT training camp.
