Champions League soccer awaits Ellie Jean (Coventry, Conn.) next fall, after the outside back officially signed a two-year deal with PSV Eindhoven on Friday.

The bright lights of UEFA’s flagship competition arrive after the 2019-20 Eredivisie Vrouwen season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and PSV held first place.

Jean, a former Oakwood SC standout and U.S. youth international who became a Division I national champion at Penn State (2015), will officially become a PSV player when her contract begins in July. Before starting in Holland, she’s controlling the controllables.
