Ellie Jean, Penn State on verge of Final Four appearance

Penn State head coach Erica Dambach uses an interesting phrase to describe defender Ellie Jean.

“One of the things we look for is a ‘come-with-me’ teammate,” Dambach said of recruiting the redshirt-junior. “That very much described Ellie. Certainly she wants to be successful, but most important to her is the success of the team.”

Jean’s ability to bring a team together has the Nittany Lions (18-5-1) roaring through the NCAA tournament. PSU shut out its last two opponents – South Carolina and Wake Forest – to advance to the Elite Eight for the second year in a row.
