Six years ago, Dominique Badji was coming off a Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year season while at Boston University and hoping to jumpstart his dreams of becoming a professional.
Now, as the 2020 Major League Soccer season nears, Badji is gearing up for his sixth year in the league, with his latest stop expansion side Nashville SC. He’s only 27, but quickly calls himself a veteran.
In a league where SuperDraft picks are decreasingly valued – Badji was picked in the fourth round (67th overall) by the Colorado Rapids in 2015 – his staying power is noteworthy.
