The move to the Seattle Sounders has already proven to be a fruitful one for Jamie Lowell (Brentwood, N.H.), though he reached another standard in late summer.
The goalkeeper, 17, made his debut with the Tacoma Defiance, Seattle’s USL Championship club, on Aug. 17 against El Paso Locomotive. Another start then came Sept. 10 against Reno 1868.
The majority of Tacoma’s minutes at goalkeeper have gone to Trey Muse, a Homegrown Player who was previously New England Revolution forward Justin Rennicks’ (South Hamilton, Mass.) teammate at Indiana. Otherwise, it’s been allowing Seattle backup Justin Meredith to stay fresh with competitive action.
