Fellow Division 3 coaches, in a fun-natured way, can’t help but ask head coach Colette Gilligan when the midfielder will graduate.
"It’s funny, I just got back from recruiting (at Jefferson Cup) in Richmond and the amount of coaches that came up to me and were like, 'Did your No. 5 graduate yet? Is she really coming back?' And then I’d go, 'She has another year back' and you’d hear the compliments where she’s that widely respected," Gilligan said.
From those remarks, it’s easy to see why the NEFC and Tabor Academy product earned Second Team All-American and First Team All-NESCAC accolades last fall. The All-American nod made her the Continentals’ third such honoree in program history, and their first in nearly 15 years.
