The draw for the 2019 NCAA tournament took place on Monday, and there are plenty of storylines to track as the first round gets underway on Saturday.

Twelve teams from New England saw their name called via automatic or at-large bids, with four from the NESCAC and two from the NEWMAC making it. The likes of Brandeis and Williams were on the bubble, but missed out.

They're all building towards championship weekend, with the semifinals set for Dec. 6 in Greensboro, N.C. The final is set for Dec. 7 at the same site, and there's a strong chance teams from the region could feature. Tufts has won three of the last five national titles (2014, '16, '18) and Amherst won in 2015.

To preview the entire tournament, here's your comprehensive New England guide to the next three weeks of competition. We've broken down all matchups for local teams and what lies ahead.
