Across New England last week, battles atop conferences played out.

In the NESCAC, Tufts dominated possession, but settled for a 0-0 draw with Connecticut College. In the GNAC, St. Joseph’s (Maine) asserted its alpha dog status by beating Norwich, 3-0. Meanwhile, in the CCC, Salve Regina still hasn’t lost – one of four remaining unbeaten teams in New England – and was impressive in its 2-0 win over Roger Williams.

The Norwich vs. St. Joe's matchup garnered some extra attention, since they last squared off in last year’s GNAC final, a 1-0 loss that saw the former get outshot 26-1.
