Back when Izzy Ruprecht was attending Silver Lake Regional High School and going through her recruiting process, she couldn’t help but feel a bit overwhelmed by the pressures of making a college decision.
Ruprecht (Kingston, Mass.) says she has struggled with anxiety, going back to her middle school days. Those feelings became even more prominent in high school, especially when the notion of determining her soccer and academic future was thrown into the mix.
A standout at Silver Lake and at the club level for South Shore Select, she was on the Division 1 radar, and decided to commit to D1 UMass Amherst.
