The Division 1 women’s soccer season came to an end on Monday night in dramatic fashion, as Florida State defeated BYU in a penalty kick shootout in the NCAA Tournament championship match in Santa Clara, Calif.
Five New England programs earned bids to the 2021 NCAA tourney. However, none were able to get past the first round in the field of 64.
Still, it was an excellent campaign for those teams and many others across the region.
