D1 Women: New England’s top teams hold firm as playoffs near

It seems like just last week was the start of the Division 1 women’s season. Now, teams around the region are a few games away from wrapping up the regular season and focusing on their conference playoffs.

Boston College, Northeastern, and Harvard are the three best teams near the top of their respective conference standings. Hartford and Central Connecticut are on their way to regular-season titles as well. Other teams, like Providence and UMass, are closer to the middle of the pack, yet could easily turn it on come playoff time.

Without further ado, here are this week’s Top 10 teams and players of the week.
