Three weeks into the season, New England soccer fans are getting a clearer picture of the best Division 1 women’s teams in the region.

The big winner of the past week was Harvard, which outscored its opponents 5-0 across two games. Boston College remains on top, earning wins over Stony Brook and Texas Tech thanks to stout defense.

Meanwhile, traditional heavyweight programs UConn and Boston University are struggling to open the season. The Huskies are still figuring things out under new head coach Margaret Rodriguez, and the Terriers are in the midst of a brutal non-conference schedule. Things are rough now, but both programs will likely find their way soon enough.

It’s time to reveal this week’s Top 10 and players of the week, all of which are freshman.
