D1 Women: First-years, veterans lead Midseason Best XI

The midway point of the Division 1 women's season recently passed, as all teams throughout New England are fully engrossed in conference play.

The Ivy League has the fearsome four of Brown, Dartmouth, Harvard and Yale – programs that all have found success early on. Boston College and Providence look ready for runs in the ACC and Big East, respectively. UMass looks to be hitting a groove in the Atlantic 10 and Boston University is primed to reclaim the Patriot League title.

As those races heat up, we named a Midseason Best XI from the region's 23 programs. The below team is sorted in a 4-3-3 formation, drawing from some of New England's top talent.

Let's get underway, starting with a goalkeeper who has longed impressed around these parts of the country.
