Dartmouth College announced on Sunday that the contract of head women’s soccer coach Ron Rainey will not be renewed.
The Big Green lost their season finale to Cornell, 1-0, on Saturday to finish the 2022 season at 8-7-2 (1-5-1 Ivy League). The program hasn’t had a winning record within the Ivy League since 2018.
"We are grateful for all coach Rainey has done for the Dartmouth women’s soccer program," said Dartmouth Director of Athletics Mike Harrity. "We wish Ron and his family our best."
Rainey has served as Dartmouth’s head coach for the past eight seasons, ending his tenure with a record of 65-51-16 overall and 13-32-11 in the Ivy League.
