D1 Women: All-Rookie Team named

Hitting the ground running in college soccer sure isn't easy. It's partially why so many freshmen take a redshirt season, or spend time on the bench watching and learning from their peers.

But every fall, a cohort of first-years also leave their mark early and often, curtailing the adjustment period.

From that, New England Soccer Journal has named its All-Rookie Team for the 2018 Division 1 women's season. The below 11 players, arranged in a 4-4-2 formation, all showed plenty of bright moments early in their collegiate careers.

While it's just one season, odds are these freshmen will only grow in profile as they embark upon new chapters in future seasons.
