D1 Women: 12 New Englanders to watch for in NCAA tournament

There may only be three teams from New England in the Division 1 women's NCAA tournament, but that doesn't mean the local connections stop there.

In fact, rosters throughout the country are littered with players from the region, including some with a realistic chance to make the Final Four.

From that, we've highlighted 12 players from New England to keep an eye out for when watching the Big Dance. Players from the region's three qualifiers – Boston College, Boston University and Central Connecticut State – were considered, as well as those from other parts of the country.

The players below are listed in alphabetical order.
