After the lengthy, COVID-induced layoff for Division I women's soccer, some players have burst onto the scene or discovered newfound success this spring. They are, in other words, breakout players.
With that framework, we've highlighted 10 players from across the region's D-I landscape who have emerged as difference-makers after 1) lesser roles in past seasons or 2) transferring into a local program.
For the purposes of this exercise, we didn't include freshmen who are getting their first taste of D-I soccer. We'll highlight top freshmen in another story, just not this one.
