Each fall, there's great attention given to past standout performers in college soccer. They're known commodities who have already proven themselves, and their continued progression is more of a sure thing.
But they're not the only ones who leave a mark.
That's where breakout players come in, ones who enjoy a coming out party of sorts. From that, New England Soccer Journal has highlighted 10 local players who are writing the pages of a breakout 2018 season.
For this exercise, freshmen weren't included. Of the below 10 players, three are from New England and five are internationals.
