D1 Men: Season comes to an end for UNH, Providence

There are no longer any men’s Division 1 teams from New England remaining in the NCAA Tournament.

Both New Hampshire and Providence, the region’s last two national championship hopefuls, fell in Sweet 16 matchups on Sunday.

Sixteenth-seeded UNH dropped a 1-0 contest to top-seeded Oregon State, while Providence fell to third-seeded Georgetown, 4-1. Both squads lost the matches as the visiting side.

Here’s a look at how each team’s run came to an end.
