New England’s Division 1 men’s soccer NCAA tournament contingent is down to two teams.

New Hampshire and Providence College have reached the Sweet 16 in dramatic fashion, while Vermont was bounced in the first round after games got underway on Thursday and carried through the weekend.

Some high-profile tests await the Wildcats and Friars, who have consistently been in the top-25 national rankings all year long.
